Fred Murray hired John Drake, the current owner, in the spring of 1987. John excelled at each task and responsibility he was given. He progressed from his position as a laborer, to a crew leader, to a supervisor, and then to the general manager’s position. In January of 2008, John & Teresa Drake became the owners of Murray’s Groundskeeping, Inc.
John is continuing the company’s history of quality work and customer satisfaction for both commercial and residential clients from Portland to Wiscasset that started over 25 years ago. John’s experience in landscape design and construction and his ability to apply this knowledge to each project is a great asset to what is now called 5 Stones Landscaping and Restorations, and our customers. Our company’s success and longevity can be contributed to our customer satisfaction, word of mouth, disciplined business planning and our desire to achieve more than what is expected.
